weekend

last night i finally got to sing some karaoke at metro -- though none of my songs were there -- i had to resort to my standby maneater. No problem, I made it work. I also got to bond intensely with my cousin's girlf.

This past weekend was spent upstate for family reunion -- my grandparent's 65th anniversary. 65th. unreal. my grandfather is 94. the actual trip was something of an ordeal -- train to albany, cab to the airport, three hours in the car to lake placid. basically so far out of civilization that it felt like i was on the other side of the earth. so strange the conflict and tension in my family and how hard it is for everyone to get along. but still, it was the first time most of my cousins and i were of somewhat an adult age and were able to roll our eyes at our family. all of my cousins are medicated. thats interesting.
