i'm wondering how actually appropriate i am for the blogging community, considering not only how infrequently i post here, but how infrequently i desire to post here. regardless, it still exists and will at least somewhat continue to exist for the time being.

large-type news on my end: i'm performing my piece, Duncan Part One in the 8th international toy theater festival with great small works at st. ann's in dumbo. the festival is two weeks but my piece is performing only 23 and 24 of may.

Spring is here, and aside from feeling amorous, i'm gearing up for my spring wardrobe. i think for me, this spring is all about the club collar and sage. the diagram on the left actually doesnt contain a club collar but is pretty smart -- i've never been a fan of the spread collar but once again, spring is here and changes are comin.'

i've made a pair of shorts in a very tight plaid (it's a heavy cotton twill) that i think i will also be adding a notch-collared vest to. i've also been thinking about a white oxford with a plaid placket, stand, and collar of the same material. it'll all come together.

i'm also mid-design for a show i'm costuming at the harlem school of the arts -- early may. Unfinished Women...set in 1955. The research has been quite fun of course and i've found some online vintage stores that are brilliant:
